|
|
Seeking several Landscape Installation Laborers. Laborers will work under the general supervision of the Landscape Installation Foreman and Construction Project Manager and performs general installation of landscaping materials. Work consists of digging holes and installation of plants, trees, grass and other vegetation.
•Mixing fertilizer and/ or compost as directed for planting.
•Hauling and installation of edging, weed fabric, mulch, flagstone, ledge stone boulders, crushed granite, pavers, river rock etc.
•Installation of tree stakes as required.
•Hauling and installation of materials using wheel barrow and a rake.
•Waters plants, trees, lawns using a hose, portable sprinkler system or watering can

Education, training, experience:
|
|
|
Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
•Plant knowledge is a plus
•Bi-lingual preferred
•Good communication skills with foreman and upper management.
•Must follow directions, and be safe at all times.
•Must have a good work ethic.
•Must be able to lift 50lbs.
•Must be able to use landscape related hand tools: rakes, shovels, etc.
•Proper use and knowledge of company’s tools and equipment.
•Ability to follow specific instructions accurately.
•Eager to learn and acquire new skills.
•Ability to follow specific instructions accurately.
Physical Demands/ Working Conditions:
•Physical demands: Full range of mobility in upper and lower body; overhead reaching; ability to work in various positions, including, but not limited to, stooping, standing, bending over, sitting, kneeling, and squatting for extended periods of time; lifting up to 50 pounds frequently throughout the workday; pulling and pushing materials and equipment.
•Working conditions: This position works outdoors in extreme weather conditions and climates. The employee will be exposed to dust, odors and fumes regularly. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
